劉致宏先生目前是多家公司的智慧財產權管理顧問，為客戶提供各種顧問服務，包括專利營運、專利訴訟管理、專利授權談判與管理、專利策略分析、以及公司內部專利管理等等。他也提供各種高階專業培訓課程，包括美國專利訴訟的管理、美國專利分析意見的撰寫、從專利營運的角度看專利申請檔的撰寫等等。

 

他在2012年以前，擔任過台灣華碩電腦與和碩科技的智權管理部主管，負責帶領臺北與上海超過20人以上的團隊，與各國的外部律師合作，管理公司所有的專利訴訟與專利授權談判。此外他還與公司內部的資訊部門合作，從頭建置了公司的契約管理系統、專利管理系統、商標管理系統、以及法律案件管理系統等。他也負責公司所有的專利申請案管理、已簽署的專利授權合約的履約管理、以及就各種合約中的智慧財產權相關條款提供審閱意見。

 

在加入華碩電腦與和碩科技之前，他是臺灣東大專利商標聯合事務所的專利代理人，負責為客戶處理各國的專利申請案。具體負責的業務內容包括撰寫中英文的專利說明書與答辯稿、建立與各國代理人的合作關係、以及提供客戶與專利申請相關的策略建議及教育訓練。

 

劉致宏先生是臺灣大學機械工程碩士，也曾就讀于臺灣東吳大學法律專業碩士班。

Since 2012, Gavin offers IP consulting services to companies from startups to public-listed companies.  Gavin also offers advanced training courses to his clients, including US patent litigation and licensing managements, US patent infringement and validity analyses, and strategic US patent specification drafting.

 

During 2002 to 2012, Gavin was the leader of the IP teams of Asustek and Pegatron, and was responsible for all patent-related matters, including litigations, licensing negotiations, license compliances, prosecutions, contract reviews, trainings and system setups. 

 

Prior to Asustek, Gavin was the patent agent of Jou and Jou Patent Office since 1999, handling worldwide patent applications for his clients. 

 

Gavin received his Master degree of Mechanical Engineering from National Taiwan University, and studied law in Soochou University.
